OH MY COD, JOSH HAS DONE IT AGAIN!

DC Products are thrilled that Michelin-starred chef and finalist of BBC 2’s The Great British Menu, Josh Eggleton, has chosen to use their products in his latest venture.

DC Systems is based nearby in Westbury-sub-Mendip and has a 35 year history in the design, manufacture and distribution of catering equipment. They have earned a reputation for simplicity, service and reliability and their glass, dishwashing and ice making machines incorporate the latest technology and are specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of all catering outlets.

Salt & Malt is a fish cafe, restaurant and takeaway based in the stunning surrounds of Chew Valley Lake, overlooking the water. It serves up gluten-free fish and chips, homemade cakes and sandwiches throughout the day before transforming into a fish restaurant in the evening. It is the latest addition to Josh’s culinary empire, which already includes the Michelin-starred Pony & Trap at Chew Magna and Yurt Lush in Bristol.

Josh said: “We’ve always had DC Systems machines at The Pony & Trap and at Yurt Lush and find them solid and easy to use. We like to support local businesses and find their service really good and their proximity to us helps that.”

DC supplied Salt & Malt’s equipment through their local distributor Gerry Oakley, MD of QCM Equipment.

Bob Wood, Director, DC Warewashing & Icemaking Systems said:  “Josh has been using our products for more than ten years and we are delighted DC is involved in his new venture. He’s an exceptional chef and restaurateur and we wish Josh all the best with Salt & Malt.”

DC’s Premium range is a firm favourite with catering outlets throughout the country. All the models in the premium range of dishwashers and glasswashers from DC Products are designed to withstand the most rigorous demands of the commercial kitchen, but none more so than the PD50 and PG50 units, the largest and most powerful undercounter machines on offer.

Josh Eggleton Salt and Malt B&W 350The premium range PD50 Dishwasher which includes a 500x500mm basket, uses just 2.6 litres of water per cycle and features a wash tank size of just 12 litres.

With a powerful wash pump for increased washing pressure and a rinse thermo-lock to ensure the perfect rinse temperature, the PD50 is capable of producing superb results in just two minutes.

The Premium range machines all have moulded, double skinned and insulated wash tanks to reduce heat loss and noise pollution, while the low volume wash tank saves up to 13000 litres of water each year compared to traditional wash tank models, reducing running costs.

The same energy efficient features are shared by the premium PG50 Glasswasher which can handle 30 Nonic pint glasses in two minutes, ensuring you never run out of clean glasses. Anti-clog wash arms and double surface filters guarantee sparkling results every time.

Both undercounter models are the same height and width of 845mm x 600mm respectively but are slightly different when it comes to the depth, PD50-630mm and the PG50-605mm.

Both machines include 12 litre wash tanks and 5 litre boilers.

Other features include a counter-balanced door for easy loading and unloading, a simple, intuitive control panel which reduces user error and staff training and a chemical auto-dosing feature that will prevent over or under dosing. Optional extras include an automatic drain down facility, an integral water softener and a (WRAS) break tank.

The Premium Range machines are designed to the highest specifications making them a true competitor to even the largest brands.
