A driven and experienced Head Chef is required for this new opening. The role is ideal for someone who prefers working during the day and having evenings off, and is interested in helping to build a new business with highly ambitious owners.
Ideally you will have a few years’ experience as a Head Chef, have a calm personality and good people skills. A creative approach to traditional breakfast and lunch menus is essential, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and taking inspiration from around the world.
This brand new restaurant, opening in a superb London location, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to oversee the smooth operation of its kitchen. The restaurant will be open six days a week (closed Sundays) serving breakfast and lunch items, take away sandwiches, pre theatre menu leading on to charcuterie and cheese boards in the early evenings. Everything will be prepared fresh on site using only the best seasonal British produce.
The Head Chef must have financial experience and be able to cost menus and have knowledge of hygiene laws and standards whilst also having a solid knowledge of Back of House paperwork including due diligence, Health and Safety, COSHH and HACCP. Good supplier contacts are also an advantage.
As Head Chef you will be given full carte blanche over the menus. You will also be responsible for all stock control, financial discipline within the kitchen, waste control as well as developing and motivating the brigade under your leadership. An excellent salary of up to £30,000 per annum is available for the right Head Chef.
