The Manor House in Castle Combe, Wiltshire, Announces New Executive Chef

The Manor House, an Exclusive Hotel & Golf Club in Castle Combe, near Bath, has announced the appointment of Robert Potter as Executive Chef at the luxury 5-star country house hotel.

Robert joins The Manor House from Lucknam Park where he has led the team at the Michelin starred The Park Restaurant for the last three years under the guidance of Executive Chef Hywel Jones.

Prior to his current Head Chef role at The Park, Robert was Head Chef at Michelin-starred gourmet gastropub The Royal Oak Paley Street in Berkshire under Dominic Chapman and prior to that, Sous Chef at Lucknam Park.

Robert will take up his position at The Manor House in February 2016 following a six week refurbishment of the kitchen starting in the New Year.

Before his first role at Lucknam Park, Robert was Sous Chef at The Dial House Hotel in Bourton-on-the-Water and Junior Sous Chef at The Fairlawn’s Hotel in Aldridge. Robert began his chef career at The Bay Tree restaurant in Birmingham after completing a catering NVQ Level 3 at Walsall College of Arts & Technology in the West Midlands and brings over 15 years’ experience to The Manor House.
