JOSEPH MELLOT SIGNS HATCH MANSFIELD AS UK REPRESENTATIVE ACROSS ALL TRADE SECTORS
Leading Loire winemaking family, Joseph Mellot, has signed an agreement with Hatch Mansfield, who currently provide sales and marketing support for the brand within the on-trade, to represent Joseph Mellot in the UK across all trade sectors as full UK representative from 1st February 2014, taking over from Mistral Wines.
Joseph Mellot, a family owned business for more than five centuries, is one of the leading lights in Sancerre and the neighbouring appellations of the Loire. Company President, Catherine Corbeau-Mellot (right), comments on the new partnership: “We have made the strategic decision to appoint Hatch Mansfield as our sole representative in the UK after much consideration. Our aim has been to align our UK sales and marketing activities. Mistral Wines has done a very good job for us in the UK off-trade and to be leaving them has certainly not been an easy decision. However, we feel we now need to consolidate representation for our business in the UK to grow our business to the next level in all channel sectors. Our experience of working with Hatch Mansfield in the on-trade supporting Matthew Clark, coupled with their multi-channel experience and their flexible approach to service and supply were key considerations in making this important strategic move. “

Joseph Mellot currently sells a range of Loire wines in the UK from seven AOC regions. A full selection of their wines will be available from Hatch Mansfield’s 2014 catalogue.
