Calling all student chefs onto The Big Stage!
Ready to Test your Skills on the Big Stage?
Chefs who have bags of creativity and flair and really want to put their skills to the test are invited to put themselves forward for one of the largest, live culinary competitions in the UK.
The next Wessex Salon Culinaire is set to take place at Brockenhurst College, located in the heart of the New Forest National Park, on Wednesday, April 3rd and Thursday 4th, 2013.
Held in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs, the event has grown in stature over the years and is an especially good platform for student chefs wanting competition experience.
The last competition saw more than 150 gold and silver medals won by budding Jamie Olivers and Gordon Ramsays, with 11 of the golds picked up in the Cold Chicken class alone.
The 2013 competition is split into four categories, Live Hot, Live Cold, Restaurant and Display, with scores of classes in each category for entrants to choose from, from a British game main course in the Live Hot section right through to napkin folding in the Display.
The deadline for entries is 1st March 2013.
As the event venue for Wessex Salon Culinaire 2013, Brockenhurst is one of the country’s top colleges and has been awarded the prestigious Beacon College status for excellence and innovation in further education and ranked ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
