Skye Gyngell Launches Special £15 Lunch Menu for London Fashion Week
Australian chef Skye Gyngell of critically acclaimed London restaurant Spring has created a set-lunch menu available exclusively during London Fashion Week, from September 15-19.
Priced at a democratic £15, and designed to be served and eaten as a pit-stop between shows, the London Fashion Week Lunch, will simply comprise a daily changing salad, a freshly squeezed juice or house-made cordial and, for those with a sweet tooth, a scoop of ice cream.
Served in Spring’s bright and beautifully designed dining room, the salads reflect Skye’s signature cooking style of fresh, simple plates of food. They include corn, cucamelon and Fern Verrow heritage tomatoes with tea smoked trout and pickled tomatillo dressing.
Skye, a former food editor for Vogue, has always held a close association with London’s leading designers and fashion houses. Since opening, the restaurant at Somerset House has played host to numerous brand launches such as the ‘Don’t be a Waster’ sustainable T-shirt campaign with Henry Holland and Lily Cole, as well as Chanel, Mulberry, and Gucci. Somerset House has played an integral part in promoting upcoming British fashion designers with its history of hosting the British Fashion Council.
With Spring’s long held relationship with the fashion industry, beautiful interiors, and convenient location just a stone’s throw away from London Fashion Week, the new set lunch menu will be the perfect pit stop for hungry guests visiting fashion week in the capital.
