FESTIVE FUNDRAISING IN AID OF HOSPITALITY ACTION COURTESY OF MICHELIN STAR CHEFS
Celebrated chefs Claude Bosi, Daniel Clifford, Paul Cunningham and Tom Kerridge hosted a special fundraising dinner within Brasserie Joël at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London on Monday, to help raise funds for industry charity, Hospitality Action.
This unique event saw the chefs from The Hand & Flowers, Hibiscus, Midsummer House and Henne Kirkeby Kro – who between them boast a total of 6 Michelin stars and 14 AA Rosettes – collaborate exclusively on an exceptional fine dining menu. Lending support throughout the evening was Brasserie Joël’s Head Chef Walter Ishizuka. Courses on offer included warm pork pie with pickled onion, sage puree and mead gravy prepared by Tom Kerridge and Australian Wagyu Rump Cap, braised oxtail, spinach purée, creamed potato and braising juices prepared by Daniel Clifford and supported by Freedown Food.
Paul Cunningham of Henne Kirkeby Kro says: “I was delighted to be asked to take part in this exceptional fundraising event on behalf of Hospitality Action. Tom, Daniel, Claude and I were all keen to give something back to the industry which has treated us so well. The funds raised will mean that many hospitality workers in need this Christmas won’t feel so alone and we are all very pleased to have been able to make this possible.”
Penny Moore, chief executive, Hospitality Action says: “Our stellar line-up of chefs really did us proud! Over £27,000 was raised which is a great end to another successful year of fundraising! We are extremely thankful to all of our chefs and sponsors and particularly the team at Brasserie Joël for all their support over the past few months.”
The evening was attended by a number of well-known figures from across the industry, including Brian Turner CBE and John Williams MBE.
