The Bath Good Food Awards under new ownership!

The Bath Good Food Awards are being relaunched in 2013, under new ownership. Business owner and management consultant Bill Cooper has acquired the business, along with co-directors Rudy Millard and Anthony Bowles, from Guide2Bristol.com, and Angela Mount, Bath- based wine and food expert, who has been involved with the awards for the last 2 years.  The popular website Guide2Bath.com, will also be run by the same management team.

Bill Cooper is the owner of the Charfield Hall Partnership, which invests in a portfolio of entrepreneurial companies, and has a proven track record in running successful business ventures. ‘I am delighted to be involved in the Bath Good Food Awards, which bring so much to the Bath food and hospitality business’ said Cooper.’ As a businessman, and local resident, my aim is to help the business reach its full potential, through a clear strategy and differentiated business model.  We now have a strong team at the helm; Angela Mount brings her expertise in both wine and food, with vast experience in competition judging, and is well known in the Bath community, whilst Rudy and Anthony will bring their successful business model of the Bristol Good Food Awards to Bath, and will integrate the promotion of the events with their Guide2Bristol.com and Guide2Bath.com websites’.

Angela, Rudy and Anthony have worked together on the inaugural Bristol Good Food Awards last year, which resulted in over 14,000 public votes, and a glittering gala awards night at the Bristol City of Arts Museum.  The 2013 Bristol awards have already been launched, and voting is underway.

Rudy Millard and Anthony Bowles commented ‘we are thrilled to have the opportunity of developing the Good Food Awards franchise in Bath, having enjoyed tremendous success in our first year in Bristol’ .   Angela Mount stated ‘ the Bath Good Food Awards have been warmly embraced by the Bath community, as a totally independent competition, where restaurants, cafes, delis and local producers are voted for, by the Bath community who care about their food and where they eat. As a Bath resident, I’m very pleased that the Awards will continue, and we look forward to a great event this year, with a fantastic judging panel. We will be launching the 2013 awards within the next 8 weeks’.
