Star-studded chef line up for the London Produce Show 4-6th June 2014 – Free entry!

TV Chef Valentine Warner, baker and Great British Bake Off runner-up Miranda Gore Browne and up-and-coming London restaurant chefs Blanchette’s Tam Storrar and Wild Honey’s Adam Degg will all take part in the London Produce Show’s Chef Demonstration Theatre on June 5.

Chefs’ Forum Members are invited to attend the show completely FREE OF CHARGE! The show will run from the 4th-6th June inclusive.

 

“TV Chef Valentine Warner Headlines the Show!”

The Chef Demonstration Theatre will run alongside the main trade exhibition of 150 fresh produce companies from around the world at the iconic Grosvenor House hotel and demonstrate how versatile fruit and vegetables are as a culinary element, as well as the abundance available.

The demonstrations will start with Valentine’s food, sponsored by Worcester microherb and edible flower grower, Westlands Wow, at 10.30am and will be followed by Miranda (pictured below) at 12.30pm and Tam at 2.30pm. Adam’s demonstration is sponsored by the Chilean Blueberry Committee and will feature as part of the London Produce Show’s Media Masterclass at 3.30pm. It will a light starter and main for 30-40 members of the national consumer food press. Recipe cards of the fresh produce dishes featured in the Chef Demonstration Theatre will be given to the press and delegates, and recipe copy and images will be available for editorial inclusion.

The Grosvenor’s executive chef Nigel Boschetti will be co-ordinating the Media Masterclass food from behind the scenes and also mentoring the London Produce Show’s Culinary Student Programme, which consists of 15 year one and two Hospitality and Culinary Arts students from Westminster Kingsway College, who will assist the chefs in the Chef Demonstration Theatre, amongst other duties.

Sponsored by New Covent Garden Market and Prophet, the London Produce Show will run from June 4-6, with an openng cocktail reception at 6.30pm on June 4 and an exhibition with debates, workshops and seminars from 7.30am to 5pm on June 5, both at the Grosvenor House hotel, Park Lane, and fresh produce tours to growers, wholesalers and retailers around London on June 6. The event is aimed at the trade and will incorporate businesses throughout the fresh produce supply chain, from growers to seed breeders, wholesalers, foodservice providers, chefs and retailers.

This is a unique opportunity in this country to attend a show that focus entirely on the fruit and vegetable industry.  There will be growers from every continent exhibiting

Foodservice and catering suppliers and a big contingent of wholesalers, particularly from New Covent Garden market, which is the main sponsor and will be very well-represented at the show.
