Simon Addison joined Chewton Glen to head up the kitchen brigade.

Born and raised in the rural county of Somerset, Simon moved to Silverstone at the age of fifteen and completed three years at Bletchley College.

Having worked in a collection of well-known kitchens across the country, Simon has a prestigious portfolio in the hospitality industry. From Hambleton Hall, to Lords of the Manor and The Vineyard at Stockcross, Simon has also contributed to the iconic Marcus Restaurant at The Berkeley and recently launched The Woodspeen Restaurant & Cookery School in Newbury.

Simon says he is ‘delighted to be part of the team in The Dining Room, with its prestigious name in the world of cuisine’, he looks forward to continuing with his locally-sourced ethos and utilising the access to some of the best produce that surrounds the estate.

With his passion for food, he says ‘ outside of work I naturally I like to keep an active and wholesome lifestyle too, whether that’s going out on a run or revving up a motorbike, I like pretty much anything to do with being outdoors!’
