From a very young age I have always had a love and passion for food, with most of my family being in and around the industry I had made my mind up without doubt this was the career for me. I studied for 4 years from the age of 15 at Thanet College (now East Kent College). I made the most of my opportunities there doing stages at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle & The British Embassy in Paris. As well as competing in National and International competitions.
I then went on to work for Richard Phillips at Chapel Down and was quickly promoted to his flagship restaurant Thackerays in Tunbridge Wells in 2012 which was a warded it’s Michelin star that year. I then went to re open the Chapel Down restaurant under The Swan as a Pastry Chef and was promoted to Head Chef at the age of 22. In this time we were short listed for the Kent Restaurant of the Year and awarded an AA Rosette.
I now am Director and Head Chef of The Kent Collection which are private and corporate event caterers and also specialist food producers specialising in Catering, smoke-house, charcuterie and patisserie.
