Mike Palmer is from the West Country and grew up in Princetown. He began his culinary career in Devon, aged 15 working in a local public house .
Having been given the opportunity to become Head Chef at Browns Hotel-Tavistock, Mike achieved 2 AA Rossettes within the first 6 months and headed-up a young, energetic team, creating a great buzz about the kitchen. He quickly gained recognition for his dedication to creating an exciting restaurant experience and gained a strong local following.
Mike certainly contributed to placing Tavistock onto the culinary map, through hard work, dedication and consistency.
He plans to build on the existing rosette at The Two Bridges, win further foodie accreditation and enter into Taste of The West.
