At the helm of South Woodford’s Grand Trunk Road, and with more than 28 years of knowledge and experience, Chef Dayashankamr Sharma’s work has helped to establish the image of a range of high-profile names and outlets, while his time at India’s Taj Hotel saw him design and complete a host of events and state banquets for foreign Presidents, Dignitaries and Luminaries.
As former Head Chef of the critically acclaimed Imli and Mayfair pinnacle, Zaika, and from leading teams of 12 -14 chefs, he was also Indian Food Consultant for a collection of major Airline catering companies has seen him continue to develop his understanding of flavour and execution.
His recent work has seen him continue to explore the varied and always seductive flavours of historical India via a stunning menu comprised of the best ingredients and his trademark cutting-edge cooking techniques. He collaborated with Shilpa Dandekar, London’s leading female Indian chef, on a series of sold-out supper club events, while Grand Trunk Road won Best Asian Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards 2018.
From honing an impeccable reputation across 28 years of Culinary experience, he has become recognised for pairing time-honoured tradition with contemporary ideas and stylings.
