David trained at Soundwell College, Bristol in 1997, after which he secured a Sous Chef role at Mendip Spring Golf Club. He went on to work as Head Chef at The Exchange Business & Conferencing Centre, then taking the Head Chef role at Provident.
In 2013 David went to work for Chartwells as The Head Chef at Millfield School before moving to Chartwells new venue Lasseter’s at The Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare as Executive Chef in August 2017. In January 2020 David opened his own restaurant with James Baker , The Ginger Pig Kitchen in Weston-super-Mare.
He strives to create dishes that give his dinners a great dining experience using fresh local produce.
