Formerly an Accountant, Chris Chown has owned Plas Bodegroes for 28 years. In this time the Restaurant with Rooms has gained many awards, including Michelin star for 14 years, GFG UK restaurant of the year, Restaurant Top 100 Best in Wales etc.
The restaurant is set in a Grade 2* Georgian Manor house in 5 acres of private gardens on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula on the far North West of Wales.
The great majority of the produce we use comes from Wales, including Welsh Black beef, mountain and saltmarsh lamb, free range pork and chicken from local farms. We serve only Welsh cheeses, and vegetables, herbs and fruit from our own kitchen gardens. We are very aware of the need to conserve fish stocks, so we try to source our fish as sustainably as possible, and do not use endangered wild species.
