I’m Aidan King a chef from Tiverton. Cooking is all I know. Finished secondary school at Cullompton and headed straight to catering college. Before college I worked at The Mill on the Exe before progressing to working at The Ring of Bells in Cheriton Fitzpain whilst at college. I went onto level 3 and joined the team at The Jack in the Green as a senior CDP.
I entered South West Chef of the Year, I defiantly let the pressure get to me and made some silly mistakes but the experience was amazing and one I would like to do again. However after moving house and the cost of travel being too much I recently moved and joined the team as Pastry Chef at the Hartnoll Hotel. Looking to expand my pastry knowledge and push menus and development. Moving to the Hartnoll is allowing me to do that with the support from them and Head Chef Paul.
In any spare time I like to collect and look at cooking books, attending chefs events like food festivals and Chefs’ Forums, I love to ride mountain biking and hanging out with mates.
