Wood Chester will be opening later this year at the brand new Hotel Indigo in Chester. Wood Chester’s Chef Patron is MasterChef 2015 winner Simon Wood and Wood Chester will offer high end fine dining in relaxed unintimidating surroundings.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to support, lead and develop our highly motivated and focused Kitchen Brigade, to produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fresh and innovative restaurant group and is a perfect role for an experienced junior sous chef looking to progress in the industry. Experience in a hotel environment preferable but not essential.

The key aspects of your role will be:

  • Assisting with menu development and delivery whilst maintaining brand standards for the hotel and restaurant
  • To assist with achieving GP as set by the restaurant
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Assisting the Head Chef will all aspect of Health & Safety, COSHH and food safety

General responsibilities/skills:
