Rocket Food, a London based company specialising in luxury events and bespoke catering.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our F1 trackside hospitality and catering team during the 2022 F1 season. In this exciting and fast paced environment, the successful person in this role is talented, hardworking, a team player, has a great sense of humour and can consistently deliver exceptional food for our client and guests.
The role will include the following:
- Working collaboratively with a brigade of 4 to 6 Chefs
- Supporting the Head Chef and Snr Sous Chef in daily tasks
- Kitchen and hospitality area set up and break down
- Producing excellent food within tight time frames
- Kitchen operations
Essential skills/experience:
- Experience in top end restaurants
- Contemporary, British style
- Experienced in fast paced kitchen environment with 300+ covers per day
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for world cuisine and culture
- An excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Desirable skills/experience:
- F1 experience
- Notable restaurant experience
- Driving licence
A minimum of five year’s experience in a restaurant or fast paced catering environment is essential.
This role requires the successful applicant to travel and work abroad for approximately 20 full weeks of the year in line with the F1 European calendar and must be taken seriously before applying. The opportunity may arise to extend the contract until the end of the 2022 F1 season.
