Location: London, Oxford Street
From our new designer galleries, to our expanding food hall, to our bespoke tailoring concept, we’re always looking to offer more at Selfridges. To our customers, and to our people. And right now we’re giving our Food department a makeover, restructuring it to build in more development for the team. In this newly created role, you’ll play a key part in delivering this exciting new phase for the department.
About the role
You’ll report directly into the Executive Chef, and then have seven chefs report into you from our various restaurants. Those seven people will be your main focus. You’ll develop them and their teams, rotating from kitchen to kitchen driving improvements in everything from ordering and costing to serving the menus at their very best. You’ll also be involved in developing those menus alongside the Executive Chef, and find opportunities for us to introduce new dining ideas. It’s a great opportunity to make the role your own and help shape the future of one of the most exciting food destinations in London.
To provide the kind of inspiring leadership this role needs, you’ll need to have experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a luxury/high-end restaurant, and across different kinds of kitchens – from hotels to other stores. That will have given you the kind of foodie passion and flair our kitchens demand, not to mention the driven and attention to detail every great restaurant needs.
We’re a world-famous retailer and the definitive shopping destination – one that’s all about entertainment, inspiration and above all, fun. From luxury designer fashion to a wide choice of restaurants, a sumptuous Foodhall to an extensive home and leisure section, we work hard to amaze, amuse and surprise our customers at every turn.
