HIGHCLIFF GRILL SENIOR SOUS CHEF IS AWARDED THE TITLE OF ‘EUROPE’S MARRIOTT RISING STAR OF THE YEAR!
The two AA Rosette award winning, Highcliff Grill restaurant at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel are celebrating after a key member of the Highcliff Grill brigade; Nicholas St Peter, Senior Sous Chef, has been awarded the prestigious accolade of “Europe’s Marriott Rising Star of the Year”. In addition to this outstanding recognition, Nick has been selected as one of the eight Marriott Global Rising Stars of the Year!

Mr Marriott’s ethos and philosophies remain present today, through the enthusiasm and passion of the associates. The Award of Culinary Excellence was established in 1998 to identify and celebrate the companies impressive global Culinary Talent throughout the company’s portfolio. A total of eight global awards have been selected; with Nicholas St Peter from Bournemouth, UK representing Europe. The elite recipients from each continent epitomize the essence of Mr. Marriott’s values and this award recognizes the effort and commitment Nicholas shows each day.
These eight global winners will receive an invitation to an amazing 3 day food and beverage immersion in Washington, DC scheduled for early June 2013. During the trip, Nicholas will have the opportunity to be congratulated personally by Mr.Marriott and Mr. Sorensen (CEO), as well as many other senior leaders. In addition, each winner will receive a custom designed award signifying their accomplishment.

Apart from his personal success, Nick has been a true influence in the triumphs of the Highcliff Grill Restaurant. Awarded ‘Best Restaurant’ at the 2012 Tourism awards in November, 4 out of 5 for sustainability by Fish2Fork and retaining the double AA Rosette award for 2012; these are but only a few honours Nick has been encompassed with.
