CookTek Induction Powers WorldSkills Ireland 2025
CookTek Helios induction, exclusively available in the UK and Ireland from Swindon-based MCS Technical Products Ltd, has been announced as a product sponsor of WorldSkills Ireland 2025, the country’s largest careers event, taking place from 17–19 September at the RDS, Dublin.
Steve Snow, Managing Director of MCS Technical Products said:
“It is fantastic to be in the Emerald Isle supporting the chefs of tomorrow with market-leading induction hobs again this year. This is always a highlight of our calendar, and we would like to take this opportunity to wish all the very best of luck to the young chefs competing.”
WorldSkills Ireland is the country’s premier event promoting skills, apprenticeships, and vocational careers, providing students, teachers, and parents with real-world insights into practical and rewarding options beyond traditional academic routes. In 2024, 75% of student attendees arrived specifically to explore alternatives to university, highlighting a rising shift in how young people are contemplating their futures.
As a product sponsor, CookTek Helios induction hobs offer essential equipment that brings competitions and demonstrations to life. By offering this support, the company plays a vital role in enabling thousands of students to gain hands-on experience, use market-leading equipment and explore exciting career opportunities across various industries.
Ray English, WorldSkills Ireland Co-Chair, said:
“We are pleased that CookTek Induction and MCS Technical Products are supporting WorldSkills Ireland 2025. This event focuses on promoting the next generation of talent, and it’s a privilege to see our innovative, high-performance induction hobs being used by future chefs. Our equipment is designed to provide precision, efficiency, and reliability qualities that reflect the skill and passion displayed throughout WorldSkills Ireland.
A unique partnership involving government, enterprise, industry, education, and training, WorldSkills Ireland 2025 is poised to welcome over 30,000 attendees for three days of engaging activities, including 35 live national skills competitions, hands-on ‘Try a Skill’ zones, virtual reality demonstrations, and career talks led by industry experts. Students will have the opportunity to interact directly with employers, apprentices, and training providers to explore the wide array of career pathways currently available.
Showcasing a variety of sectors, from construction and engineering to hospitality, ICT, foodservice, the creative arts, and more, the event aims to inspire the next generation of skilled young people to explore hands-on careers that align with their passions, while also helping to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving workforce.”
