Ravinder Bhogal to Host Intimate Festive Dinners at Jikoni
Ravinder Bhogal will invite guests to her Marylebone restaurant, Jikoni, for a unique and intimate Christmas dinner around her kitchen table next month.
On December 10 and 11, the chef and food writer will share her advice and secret cooking tips for the ultimate Christmas dinner with a twist.
The evening will start with a masterclass on how to make Jikoni’s ‘naughty and narcotic’ signature Christmas tipple, a Pomegranate Negroni, accompanied by seasonal canapés, before guests sit-down to a four-course feast.
Ravinder’s Christmas table will be laden with a menu of Delica Pumpkin and Brassica Panzanella with Pannetone; Salmon Tarator Style with tahini, walnuts and sumac; and Pomegranate Quail with chestnut and cranberry maftoul.
Ending the night on a suitably sweet-note, Ravinder’s homemade Christmas Wreath with Salted Caramel Crème Patisserie will form the table’s centrepiece.
Each course will be accompanied with recipes for guests to take home, with Ravinder on hand to share her entertaining knacks, from simple table decorations to wine pairings and kitchen tricks. All wines from the evening will be available to take home with an exclusive ten percent discount on the night.
Ravinder said: “Christmas is not Christmas for me without the flavours of my childhood, from Persian spices to family traditions from our time in Kenya.
“But what really makes this time of year special is gathering your nearest and dearest, putting on your glad rags and showering them with wonderful food, lots of alcohol and good cheer.
“I can’t wait to recreate this at Jikoni and send guests home with all the essentials for a fabulous festive dinner party.”
Tickets for Ravinder’s Christmas Table are £55 (£85 with matching wines), with only ten seats per evening.
All enquiries via contact@jikonilondon.com will be treated on a first come first served basis.
