The Med Kitchen is a stunning Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurant and bar in the Historic Docks on the Gloucester Quays. It is probably the most versatile and best-located restaurant on the docks with the largest outside terrace and indoor event space of any restaurants in the city. Summer seasons are a sight to behold when the sun is out and the operation is in full swing, making us the no. 1 choice for outside dining.
We are currently planning for the May indoor re-opening. We are therefore looking for up to three mixologists/bar staff, with experience of waiting on tables as well. Bar work will be on rotation, with working on the floor with general waiting duties part of the job description.
At least 1-2 years of cocktail making experience and working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant or bar is a pre-requisite.
We are looking for dedicated and experienced individuals to join our small but growing team who are not afraid of numbers and can keep a professional and calm demeanour even at the busiest of times. The ability to work on own initiative, with fellow team members, awareness of good hygiene practices and a motivated, can-do attitude is essential.
Our clientele is principally 30-40 somethings, but lately with a new music policy and premium cocktail offering, we are seeing a lot of the trendy set becoming regulars. We want to build on this. Therefore you will play a key part in looking after and ensuring these regulars, as well as all other customers are happy and leave with a smile.
Pay will be between £9 – £11 per hour, with a share of the tips. Leadership qualities will be rewarded.
