The Pointer is a country pub, restaurant and butchers that serves fantastic, simple, seasonal and thoroughly delicious food and drink to all who cross its threshold.
Situated at the centre of the village of Brill in Buckinghamshire, we are open every day of the week, serving lunch and dinner from Tuesday through to Sunday afternoons. The butchers and delicatessen, where you can buy our meat, charcuterie and freshly baked bread, currently opens on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Our attitude to food is pretty straightforward: we cook what is best on the day, using the seasonal produce we either grow ourselves on our Farm or obtain from local markets and suppliers. All our meat comes from our own livestock herds and neighbouring farms, and if from further afield, from farmers who genuinely believe in good food that you can actually taste.
We are recruiting a Sous Chef to join an award-winning team.
About you:
- Must be competent on all sections and lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence
- Be able to help write menus and train junior members of the brigade
- Ideally you will have a 3 rosette minimum back ground
