We are looking for anexceptionally talented, motivated and ambitious Sous Chef to join our exciting team at Graze Bar and Chophouse in Bath.
This cosmopolitan outlet in the heart of Bath City Centre will be the flagship for the Graze Bar and Chophouse series. Offering great food and drink in a relaxed and sophisticated setting based on the same successful combination as Graze Bristol and Cirencester. In addition to this 5,000 sqft site, it will feature a large open plan kitchen, a meat hanging room and small micro-brewery producing specialist craft beers.
As Sous Chef you will have outstanding standards with the ability to effectively communicate with the kitchen brigade and front of house teams. Your leadership and enthusiasm for creating freshly produced, innovative dishes will be your success factor. This is an opportunity to develop the kitchen brigade and passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients is a must. This is a key position that will give you the chance to showcase your talent for exceptional dishes.
Meat cookery is central to the food theme and the considered menu will have a wide appeal featuring a range of classic dishes lead by meat and fish choices cooked in a Josper charcoal oven. Graze is essentially our take on a modern pub- somewhere to enjoy a pint of great cask ale, munch on some homemade bar snacks, have a simple hearty lunch or eat a sophisticated meal.
As our Sous Chef, you will need high expectations in driving best practice in food safety compliance and delivering this throughout your team, kitchen area and the rest of the restaurant.
