A fantastic opportunity has come up for a Sous Chef at The Oyster & Fish House in Lyme Regis, working closely with renowned chef and restaurateur Mark Hix.
We like to think of our team as a family. We have long-standing team and returning seasonal team members that return year after year. We are currently looking for an experienced and talented Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
The Sous Chef needs to be a leader, a motivator, a mentor, someone who the team all look up to. In addition to strong cooking and menu planning skills you will be working with the Head Chef to manage costings to hit your GP every week, managing the team and running busy services.
Experience in a similar role is essential. If you have good initiative, strong people skills, and are ready to work in a busy-fast paced kitchen serving the best of local seasonal produce, get in touch.

The Oyster & Fish House is a fish and seafood restaurant located in the stunning setting of Lyme Regis overlooking the Jurassic Coast. We buy direct from the fishermen so our menu changes twice a day depending on what the fishermen have caught for us. Using only British, local and seasonal food you will be working with the best quality produce in the area, and so constantly building relationships with all of our producers. In 2021 we extended the restaurant with an outdoor deck so you can expect to serve over 200 covers a day in the summer season.
