The Kings Arms is a family owned Restaurant, Pub & Hotel in Otterton, part of the Greendale group. We are looking for team members who are passionate about food, delivering quality local produce to the plate! We are looking for those who can work well as part of a team and have the ability to communicate effectively with our customers and other team members. The line Chef’s primary responsibility will be to prepare food to the chef’s specifications while following all safety and sanitation procedures.

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
  • Be a reliable team member with high attention to detail


  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
