About the Role
Thirteen is a new, small, 22-cover fine dining restaurant looking for an experienced Senior Front of House team member.
The concept is contemporary British cuisine in the form of an a la carte lunchtime menu, and an evening tasting menu. This reservation-only restaurant also provides a wine pairing option and a small selection of cocktails.
As Senior Front of House team member you will work directly with the Sommelier, Head Chef and Chef de Rang to create an enjoyable, outstanding dining experience.
Example of Included Responsibilities
– Ensure the restaurant is prepared and set for service
– Attend pre-service briefing with head chef
– Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
– Liaise with the restaurant team to maintain seamless service from start to finish
– Cash up and close down at end of service

Essential Experience and Qualities
– Excellent customer service and communication skills
– At least 2 years front of house experience, either in a restaurant or bar
– Basic bar knowledge
– Experience of basic barista duties
– Polite and well presented
– Genuine interest in fine dining, willing to learn
– Consider hospitality as your profession
Desired Experience and Skills
– Personal license holder is an advantage but not essential
– Wine training will be given, knowledge an advantage
– Basic knowledge of cocktail/mixology, training will be given
– Willingness to learn about food preparation and culinary techniques is a plus
