Scott has extensive experience in the catering industry gained over nearly three decades in England and abroad. His full time jobs have included; some of the finest country house hotels in the UK, but has experience of working in over 200 establishments as a relief chef which gave him a unique insight to various aspects of the catering industry. Scott spent five years teaching at City of Bristol College before starting his own online training company ‘The Crafty Chef’ as well as becoming Head Chef at Winford Manor in North Somerset. Not content with working full time he has also completed ‘stages’ in the last few years in his spare time (If a chef gets such a thing!) at: The Waterside Inn, Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and Windsor Castle.
During his career he has won a host of awards and accolades and in 2010 was made a Master Chef of Great Britain – the first chef in the County of Bristol to hold the title. In 2006 he became the regional representative for Bristol and the West Country of The Craft Guild of Chefs. Scott has also been involved in judging UK competitions including the: Wessex Salon Culinaire, Chef v Chef, Mc Cain’s Signature dish, Brakes Student Challenge, Fillipo Berio Olive Oil, The Major Series, London’s Hotelympia, The NEC at Birmingham, The UK Quality Food Awards and The Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste Awards.
