As Head Chef, your main responsibility will be to develop and deliver inspired menus and create delicious dishes that will wow our customers.  Along with leading the kitchen team with hands on cooking, you’ll manage the kitchen standards of health, safety and hygiene and you will know how to control your costs and minimise wastage.  As well as passion, confidence and culinary flair, you’ll have experience of leading and inspiring your team to achieve more.

Bocabar has made its home in the Red Brick Building of the old Morland’s factory, situated between Glastonbury and Street.  With plentiful views of the Somerset levels, Bocabar seeks to provide a different eating and drinking experience for its customers, combining an industrial setting with a cosy, relaxed and welcoming environment.

Bocabar seeks to offer an exciting and creative dining experience.  We are open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner (except Sunday and Monday evenings), and serve a menu of gourmet crepes, mezzes and locally-sourced and seasonal specials for up to 80 covers a sitting. We also have an extensive bar, offering local ciders and beers, and our ever-popular cocktails.  We also cater for several weddings and private functions in Bocabar and the Red Brick Building throughout the year.

This has been acknowledged by being awarded Gold by Taste of the West, 2014, as well as being a finalist in Taste of the West’s Best South West Casual Diner, 2014. Bocabar also prides itself in providing excellent customer service – as reflected in winning New Business of the Year in the Mendip Business Awards, and favourable ratings on Trip Adviser.
