Tam Bernard Photography

Having previously worked as a chef to a reasonable standard (2 AA rosette) and having been a photographer for almost 20 years it made sense to combine my two passions and specialise in food photography.

I love to photograph a wide variety of food and drink, working closely with as many different chefs as I can.  This enables me to produce photographs which not only celebrate the food produced but to take a closer look at the beating heart of any restaurant… the kitchen! An environment I love to be in.

As well as working with restaurants on location I also regularly work from my Birmingham based studio for a number of commercial food brands.

Part of why I love my job is the people I meet, and I am always looking to collaborate with new businesses.  This is why I am working for The Chefs’ Forum covering The Midlands and the North West of England.  As well as offering myself a fantastic opportunity to work alongside talented established chefs, the concept of encouraging aspiring young chefs to pursue their career and create a supportive network within the industry is something which really resonates with me.
