Bristol’s Box-E to go Out of The Box for One Night Only at Harvey Nichols

Bristol’s acclaimed shipping container restaurant Box-E will pop-up at the city’s Harvey Nichols store for one night only next year.

Box-E is teaming up with the team behind the Second Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols in Cabot Circus for a special ‘Out of the Box’ dinner on February 1.

Husband and wife team Tessa and Elliott Lidstone from Box-E will be leaving their tiny 14-cover shipping container for the night to create four delicious courses, championing the freshest seasonal produce to create a modern British feast.

Diners will start the evening with a cocktail and canapé reception in the Second Floor Bar before moving to the Second Floor Restaurant to tuck into the meal prepared by Box-E and the Second Floor team and head chef Louise McCrimmon. The menu is still under wraps and will be a secret until the evening, but it will feature seasonal ingredients.

Tessa Lidstone said: “The opulence of the carpeted, gold Harvey Nichols dining room is about as far removed from the stripped back decor of our shipping container restaurant so if we’re going to go ‘Out of the Box’ then we may as well do it with some glitz!

“Diners can expect Elliott’s same seasonal British cooking but Louise is putting her team in his hands so he’ll be able to produce dishes for a whole dining room that normally only our kitchen table guests are able to enjoy.”
